I am a photographer based in Richmond, VA, where the blend of city life and isolated nature continually inspires me to take my camera out. My love for photography began during my years in Colorado, where hiking exposed me to breathtaking landscapes. I found myself wanting to capture everything around me, but my iPhone 4’s camera wasn’t cutting it. Once I got my first DSLR, it was all over—hikes started earlier, new gear filled my bag, and I spent countless hours on YouTube learning the craft. I was hooked.
Over time, I developed a deep appreciation for long exposure photography, especially the way it transforms water and clouds. Even now, I’m always drawn to locations with a water source when planning a landscape shoot.
After moving here in 2022, I took an unintentional break from photography but picked it back up in early 2024. Living in a more urban environment sparked a new obsession—street photography. The unpredictable, spontaneous nature of it is a stark contrast to the careful planning of landscapes, and I love the challenge. I’ve also started shooting on film, which has quickly become another passion of mine.
My work is driven by a love for contrast—between motion and stillness, nature and the built environment, light and shadow. Whether capturing the calm of a mountain lake or the energy of a city street, I strive to create images that feel dramatic, inspiring and immersive.
