Honestly, not too much to report back on this past week. The rolls of film I was planning on sending in, didn’t get sent in yet, but that will for sure be the main goal for next week. I am also feeling so impatient about the 5 Ektachrome rolls I sent in a couple of weeks ago now. I know that it was a bigger order, and that it’s a small lab and it always takes a few weeks, I am just way too excited for them to come back.
In some other news, I didn’t do any landscape shooting, I initially planned on it but got distracted with other things and household chores which were more pressing. I did get to shoot though. My wife and I went to Carytown to do some shopping and I brought my little Minolta Hi-Matic E which was loaded with some Kentmere 400. I had shot a little bit on that roll last week, so there were about 20 frames left this time around. I was able to finish it, and I think there are going to be some good ones on there.
I feel a little bad talking about all this film I’ve been shooting and getting developed and scanned, but don’t have anything to show yet. It’s like a little tease, but hey, if I have to wait you are too!
There is a solid chance that this Kentmere roll doesn’t get developed for another few months. I have such a back log right now. I think there are 30 shot rolls sitting in my little fridge right now, and some of those I think I shot back in 2024. I know I need to slow down my shooting of new rolls, and I have, but I just know that if these Ektachrome shots turn out, I am most likely going to get so many new rolls.
I would like to get back to focusing on my ICM/Multiple Exposure project for this year. I slowed down on it a little bit for a couple months, but I’ve been formulating some shot ideas that I’m excited for. I plan on getting back into that more this summer!
